Data Validation Forms |
|

|
The
data validation reporting form automatically populates FIMS data from
the Random Asset Generator to the individual sample facility worksheets.
This form automatically generates the Scorecard that includes the
percentages as a result of the validation.
Instructions for
completing this process are included.
* Scorecard is automatically generated
within data validation reporting form.
Sample Forms
A compilation of
lessons learned has been developed
based on experiences from recent data validation reviews. |

Data Validation Tools |
 | Random Building Generator
Standard Report #69 can
be used to randomly select a sample set of assets (buildings, OSF's, and real property
trailers) for the validation
process.
|
 | Outlier Selections
(Buildings, RP Trailers)
Standard Report #70a
can be used to easily identify buildings and real property trailers that are high in RPV, Deferrred
Maintenance, or Gross Sqft that may be selected as an Outlier and included
in the sample set.
|
 | Outlier Selections (OSF's)
Standard Report #70e
can be used to easily identify OSF's are high in RPV, or Deferrred
Maintenance that may be selected as an Outlier and included
in the sample set.
|
 | FRPC Data Element Report
Standard Report #70b
can be used to easily extract all FRPC data elements for a particular
building, OSF, or real property trailer. This report is also beneficial for selecting all of the FRPC data elements for
assets that have been selected as an Outlier.
|
 | Bridge Safety Inspection Report
Standard Report #68
can be used to easily extract all bridge safety inspection data for
verification during the annual validation.
|
 | Sample Size Chart
Identifies the number of owned assets (buildings, real
property trailers and OSF's) to include in the random
sample set. These numbers are based on providing a 90% confidence
level in the FIMS data. |

Data Validation Training Schedule
for FY10 |
| Two Data Validation training
classes will be offered in FY10. These classes will provide the
necessary instruction to DOE and Contractor facilities management staff on
the processes required for validation of key FIMS information.
Specifically, participants will complete the course with an applied
knowledge of the statistical principles, validation standard, and the step
by step process required to perform a validation of the Federal Real
Property Council required data elements. The class
will consist of mainly lecture/demonstration with exercises that will
provide participants with an opportunity to explore functions of the data
validation process. Each person attending will receive 1 copy of the
Data Validation training manual.
The class schedule and locations are provided below.
For those who wish to register for one of these classes, please email the
