Excess Elimination - DOE Bank of Disposed Properties

A memorandum was signed out by Bruce Carnes on August 9, 2002 for Reporting on the Elimination of Excess Facilities. Procedures have been developed for the FY2008 report to Congress on the Elimination of Excess Facilities.

Established Procedures are in place for screening real property assets DOE wide before declaring them excess within FIMS. A form has been developed that will be used to facilitate this process. 	Banking Waivers

The following guidance provides the basic documentation needed for a Secretarial waiver to transfer from another site area of eliminated excess or excess that will be eliminated (or funded for elimination) prior to the completion of the new facility.
